Today’s guests are Cristina Miller, senior manager, and Adam Horvath, managing director from Acumen Solutions. Acumen Solutions has gotten some publicity recently with being named one of the initial “sweet sixteen” companies who are part of the 18F initiative from the General Services Administration.
During the interview Miller talked about the general benefits of agile software development while Adam Horvath focused on many of the details. She detailed some of the background of the “Cloud First” initiative and how solutions like Salesforce give options that many federal information technology professionals realize.
When it comes to data stewardship, Horvath noted that federal concerns focus on security of data in the cloud as well as fear of retaining control. His suggestions for “Shared First” resonate because of the success Acumen Solutions has had in the commercial marketplace.
Acumen Solutions has strategic partnerships that can answer questions that potential users have about encryption (CipherCloud), big data (PROS), digital signing (DocuSign), as well as system integration (MuleSoft).
