Identity theft is scary to most people and the crime seems to be increasing, rather than tapering off. That’s why the Identity Theft Resource Center has been tracking security breaches for the past three years, looking for patterns, new trends and any information that may help companies and federal agencies protect their data. The ITRC just released its latest report, which says that data breaches are up dramatically when compared to 2007. Jay Foley is Executive Director of the ITRC and explains what they found.
