For two decades, the Department of Veterans Affairs has sought a uniform, lifetime electronic health record for soldiers from when they enter the military to when they are laid to rest as veterans. That dream is becoming a reality. At the AFCEA Bethesda Health IT Day earlier this week, Tom caught up with Dr. Steve Ondra, the senior policy advisor for health affairs at the VA, and asked how he ended up in the job he has now.
