The Postal Service continues to look for ways to save itself from more than $200-billion dollars in red ink over the next 10 years. That’s the debt Postal leaders say the agency will rack up if something isn’t done quickly to address falling revenues. They’ve asked Congress to eliminate Saturday delivery, but they’re not waiting for other changes. The Postal Service has merged its Expedited Shipping and Ground Services units into one one Shipping Services Group. Jim Cochrane has been chosen to help lead that group. As the new vice president for product visibility and operational performance, Mr. Cochrane will lead projects to develop new scanning technologies and tracking systems. He joins us to detail what the changes will mean for his agency and anyone who uses its services.
