Presidential Transition Act greases the skids

Pre-Election Presidential Transition Act of 2010 gives the administration-elect better access to feds. John Palguta has details.

Legislation aimed at making the presidential transition process smoother has landed on President Obama’s desk for signature. The Pre-Election Presidential Transition Act was passed by both the House and Senate before they adjourned for recess. The bill calls on the General Services Administration to offer candidates running for president office space in D.C. and access to government briefings and training. John Palguta, vice president for policy, explains why the Partnership for Public Service actively supported this bill.
