Air Force preps for financially pressured warfare

The Air Force is working to balance today\'s needs and tomorrow\'s challenges while operating under intense fiscal pressures.

The Air Force’s Vice Chief of Staff says his branch must prepare for more flexible, innovative operations and warfare tactics in the face of financial pressures. General Philip Breedlove spoke at an Air Force Association Conference in Orlando. He says the Air Force has ramped up it’s remotely piloted vehicle program from one aircraft in 2001 to 48 today. General Breedlove also stressed being keener about acquisition, especially because of more restrained budgets.
