GSA Administrator Martha Johnson wants to cut through the red tape and bring people together to solve problems. The technique is called a SLAM. Nobody leaves the room until the issue is resolved. This week GSA held a FAR slam to make the Federal Acquisition Regulation easier to understand and use. GSA, Homeland Security and NASA were all involved. Kathleen Turco, the Associate Administrator of GSA’s Office of Governmentwide Policy, tells about problems identified and solved.
