Walter Reed trains Iraqi physical therapists

Sharing knowledge is key and both parties are learning a lot from each other\'s knowledge and experience.

Walter Reed Army Medical Center is hosting a physical therapist training program for Iraqis. Three therapists have just completed a six-week rotation of lectures, observation, and practical application. In addition, three other Iraqi medical microbiologists are training at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research. The Department of Defense says this is the first training program of its kind for Walter Reed. The students, officers in the Iraqi Army, say that they’ve learned to focus on the patient’s physical and psychological well-being.
