The Navy has awarded four major companies contracts to examine the cybersecurity of it’s systems, and help design cyber defense software. The award totals more than $200 million. Parts of the award are going to General Dynamics, Science Applications International Corp., Northrop Grumman and Booz Allen Hamilton. Thirty nine other defense contractors, commercial providers and academic partners will act as subcontractors. DefenseSystems reports, the contract asks the quartet to examine the architecture, engineering, and functionality of the Navy’s cyberspace systems.
