January 11, 2013 — This week on “Fed Access”, three representatives from the Veterans of Foreign Wars, join host Derrick Dortch to talk about the most pressing issues facing veterans this year, and what the organization is doing to address those issues.
The guests are: Joe Davis, director of Public Affairs at the VFW, Ryan Gallucci, deputy director of the organization’s National Legislative Services, and Gerald Manar, deputy director of the VFW’s National Veteran’s Services.
They will discuss how the VFW is working with the Veteran’s Administration to speed up the processing of disability claims.
They also go into detail about the organization’s legislative agenda for the 113th Congress.
It includes protecting the earned benefits that retired militiary and current veterans already recieve, and making sure that veterans coming off active duty have a smooth transition into the civilian workforce.
