May 3, 2013 — This week on “Fed Access”, host Derrick Dortch will discuss veteran hiring issues with General Gary Profit, senior director of Military Programs at Walmart, Joe Quinn, Walmart’s senior director of Issue Management and Strategic Outreach, and Phillip Selleh, program manager for the VA Business Accelerator.
General Profit and Quinn will discuss what Walmart is doing to help veterans transitioning from the military to the civilian workforce, including the company’s “Welcome Home” Committment to Veterans program.
Under that program, Walmart hopes to hire more than 100,000 veterans over the next five years.
Sellah will explain how the VA Business Accelerator program works, and the services it provides for veterans who want to become entrepreneurs.
