April 8, 2011Public Service Recognition Week is a week dedicated to recognizing the efforts of public employees at the local, state, and federal levels.

Events around the country and in the D.C. area, educate the public about civil service, reward outstanding employees, and celebrate public service.

PSRW kicks off this year on May 1.

Joining FEDtalk host Bill Bransford to talk about highlights of PSRW and why the week is so important are Kirke Harper, chair of the Public Employees Roundtable, and Jim Seymour, director of programs and events at the Partnership for Public Service.

During the second half of the show, Kim Ainsworth, director of the Boston Federal Executive Board, will share what it does locally to celebrate PSRW.
