Kimberly Hancher, Former CIO, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission
As a Government Marketing University Ambassador, Kimberly Hancher brings an impressive record of being tech-savvy excecutive and for leading government IT organizations. She was the Chief Information Officer at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (US EEOC) and Deputy CIO at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Known for strategic sourcing, risk based decision making and progressive IT leadership, Mrs. Hancher is a trusted technical strategist for government to government data exchange, online digital services, software-as-a-service cloud systems, agile software development processes, and innovative “bring-your-own-device” technologies, policies, and programs. After retiring from Federal service in 2016, Mrs. Hancher began a new career as a consultant with Deep Water Point helping IT product, service and solution companies navigate the Federal market. As an Ambassador with Government Marketing University, she enlists former Government executives to provide insights and understanding of the “Government Voice” to the marketing community.
Casey Coleman, Former CIO, General Services Administration
As a Government Marketing University Ambassador, Casey lends her expertise as a former Federal Executive. She is widely recognized as an innovator during her tenure as GSA’s CIO from 2007 to 2014, Coleman led several modernization initiatives, including the agency’s move to a cloud-based email and collaboration platform. She also led an agency-wide mobility program to enable access to information from anywhere and from any device. In addition, she spearheaded an initiative to integrate all GSA infrastructure operations into a single consolidated program. Casey held several other IT leadership roles at GSA prior to being named CIO.
Casey Coleman is currently the Group Vice President of Unisys Federal Systems Civilian Agencies. In this role Casey leads and manages the overall business for key civilian agencies including Justice, Treasury, IRS, GSA, FDIC, Interior, USDA and the Executive Office of the President. She is responsible for delivering integrated Unisys products and services to Unisys’ federal government civilian agency clients. She has been with Unisys Federal Systems since April 2015.
Casey holds several honors and awards from various organizations including: recipient of the ComputerWorld Premiere 100 Award, the MIT Sloan CIO Symposium Award for Leadership in Innovation, and is a three-time winner of the Federal Computer Week Federal 100 Award.
Casey holds an MBA in Finance and International Business from the University of Texas at Arlington, as well as a B.S. in Computer Science along with a minor in Finance from Texas A&M University.
Simon Szykman, Former CIO, Department of Commerce
As a Government Marketing University Ambassador, Dr. Simon Szykman brings expertise a seasoned Federal Executive. Szykman served over four years as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the Department of Commerce, and over three years as the CIO of Commerce’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) prior to that. Before his CIO roles, Dr. Szykman worked in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (where he served as a Senior Policy Analyst and later as the Director of the National Coordination Office for Networking and Information Technology Research and Development), and as the first Director of Cyber Security R&D at the Department of Homeland Security. Earlier in his career, he spent several years as a member of the technical research staff at NIST.
Currently he is the Chief Technology Officer for Federal Services at Attain, LLC, where he supports Attain’s mission to deliver market leading results to the company’s clients and is responsible for leading the firm’s strategic corporate alliances and associated go to market strategies.
John Johnson, Former Assistant Commissioner for Integrated Technology Services, General Services Administration
As a Government Marketing University Ambassador, Mr. John Johnson lends his expertise as a former Federal Executive. He is a proven senior executive with nearly 40 years of government and industry experience. While Mr. Johnson is well known for his leadership at GSA, he also spent nearly 24 years with the Department of Defense both active duty and as a Federal employee. His assignments include active duty and as the United States Army Signal Center, Ft. Gordon, GA; Headquarters 7th Signal Command, Ft. Ritchie, MD; the Department of the Army Staff (DCSC4); the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA); DISA Liaison to the CINC Forces Command; and the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence (OASD-C3I).
Mr. Johnson’s credentials span a host of demanding positions in the Federal Government where he established a pedigree for success. Retiring in 2009 as a senior executive in the General Services Administration, he was the first assistant commissioner to run the Integrated Technology Service (ITS) where he managed the largest “Fee for Service” IT procurement and services operation in the Federal Government.
As a manager, he lead a highly skilled and diverse workforce that managed more than six thousand contracts providing products, services, and solutions to the Federal Government. His relationships spanned a customer base of nearly 135 federal agencies and departments in approximately 190 countries, and his portfolio included the IT Schedule 70 program, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) chartered IT government-wide Acquisition Contracts Program, the Office of Network Services Programs, and several strategic government-wide initiatives such as Homeland Security Presidential Directive-12 (HSPD-12), E-Authentication, the Smart-Buy software program, and the Information Technology Line of Business (ITLOB) initiative. Under his leadership his team developed and delivered nearly $22B of products services, and solutions to its federal and state customers.
Mr. Johnson is a recipient of AFFIRM’s Leadership Award in Acquisition and Procurement, the Federal 100 Award, the CES Technology Leadership Award, the Bush Administration Presidential Rank Award, the GCN Federal Executive of the Year award the Washington Contractors Association Public Partner of the Year Award, and the John J. Frankie award.
Keith Trippie, Former Executive Director, Enterprise System Development Office, Department of Homeland Security
Government Marketing University Ambassador, Keith Trippie lends his expertise as a former Federal Executive, change agent and innovative thought leader with over 20 years of experience driving revenue in the private sector and delivering innovative results for the federal government.
Keith previously served as Senior Executive at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) within the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), where he successfully led a new division from a start-up organization to a mature 150 person, $70M+ enterprise organization. At DHS, Mr. Trippie managed a team of Cyber Security Professionals. Mr. Trippie was responsible for overseeing cyber security posture of more than 10 cloud services, and another 20+ enterprise applications and mobile services. During his tenure, Mr. Trippie ensured all services and systems met Federal cyber requirements, and did not experience a breach under his leadership.
During his time Keith as the Acting Executive Director for the Enterprise Business Management Office (EBMO) within DHS OCIO where he oversaw the department’s $6B IT portfolio. Keith started his DHS career at the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) where he designed, developed and deployed a secure information-sharing capability.
Most recently, he is the founder and CEO of The Trippie Group LLC, which provides executive consulting and board services to help companies generate revenue in a number of innovative technology arenas including cyber security, cloud computing, mobile, big data/analytics, and product development, among others. Mr. Trippie currently serves as an advisor and board role with several organizations supporting investment decisions, due diligence and strategic development.
Keith regularly publishes articles on innovation and holds numerous awards including the Fed 100 Award, Fierce Government 15, and FedScoop 50.
