April 3, 2012 — This week on Off the Shelf, Bill Doucette, head of Federal Sector Sales for the United States Postal Service, provides his take on the federal market place, and USPS’s growing role.

The USPS receives no appropriated funds. It is self-funded and competes in the federal market place through its GSA schedule contract.

Doucette outlines the key aspects of USPS offerings, including express delivery and priority mail services, its hazardous material screening program, as well as a new recycling program being offered to federal agencies.
