Acquisition priorities at GSA

August 26, 2014 — This week on “Off the Shelf”, Jeff Koses, senior procurement executive for the General Services Administration, talks about the three priorities he is focusing on in his new role as the head of acquisition policy at GSA.

They are:

  • Strengthening the acquisition workforce
  • Promoting smart and effective buying
  • Building healthy and productive industry relationships

Koses outlines the status and goals of several key GSA initiatives including collection of prices paid data, use of social media, use of collaboration and visualization tools, designation of a GSA Ombudsman to hear industry issues, and developing sound metrics for the GSA acquisition workforce.
