Air Force fires two after tanker mail mix-up

We first told you about the Air Force inadvertently giving confidential information to two companies in a fierce competition for an aerial refueling tanker contract on Monday. Gov Exec reports that after an extensive review of the issue, the Air Force has removed two officials from the program. While announcing the removal of the officials, Air Force Chief of Staff Norton Schwartz called the situation a “profound disappointment”. The Air Force maintains that the two companies, Boeing and EADS, have the same information.
