Four companies received contracts for cyber security engineering and planning in the Navy. Booz Allen Hamilton, General Dynamics and Northrop Grumman and SAIC were awarded contracts worth a total of $311 million. The cost-plus-fixed-fee deals came from the Space and Naval Warfare Center. The four companies will compete for task orders. SPAWAR hired them to examine the science, architecture, engineering, functionality, and interoperability of cyberspace operations. If the Navy exercises all of its options, the contracts could be worth nearly a billion dollars.
