It’s been characterized as a revolutionary time for IT innovation, and in just a few years, many existing IT assets will become obsolete. The federal government now faces a fork in the road with regards to IT investment — replace now or wait until developing technology is more mature? Congress was looking for answers in yesterday’s hearing on how to reform IT spending efforts. George DelPrete offers his insight.

Military families facing foreclosure have some hope for keeping their homes. The House recently passed an amendment to the Servicemember Civil Relief Act that takes aim at banks illegally foreclosing on servicemembers and charging excessive fees. Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) is one of the sponsors of the legislation that was drafted after a year-long investigation into this issue.
