The federal government now faces a fork in the road with regards to IT investment — replace now or wait until developing technology is more mature? Congress was looking for answers in yesterday’s hearing on how to reform IT spending efforts. George DelPrete offers his insight.

Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-Va.) says small businesses competing for Defense Department contracts need a boost. He developed provisions in the 2013 National Defense Authorization Act to increase contracting opportunities for small businesses.


Rep. Elijah Cummings(D-Md.)

Military families facing foreclosure have some hope for keeping their homes. The House recently passed an amendment to the Servicemember Civil Relief Act that takes aim at banks illegally foreclosing on servicemembers and charging excessive fees. Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) is one of the sponsors of the legislation that was drafted after a year-long investigation into this issue.
