The Merit Systems Protection Board held an open meeting yesterday to consider what issues it will research over the next few years. It was the first open meeting to discuss their research agenda in about 15 years. The MSPB is required by law to conduct studies that look at Federal merit systems policies, operations, and practices. Laura Shugrue, Deputy Director of Policy and Evaluation at MSPB, joins us with a recap of the meeting.
