November 14, 2014 — This week on “Fed Access”, Bank of America executives Jeffrey Cathey and Lewis Runnion join host Derrick Dotrch to talk about what the company is doing to help returning veterans make the transition to the civilian workforce.
Cathey is a senior Military Affairs executive with Bank of America and Runnion is the company’s director of Military Affairs.
They discuss training and mentorship programs sponsored by the bank to help returning vets find jobs in the private sector, and the company’s philanthropic efforts, including donations to non-profits that provide services to veterans and their families.
Currently more than seven thousand reservists and veterans work at Bank of America. The company has committed to hiring another ten thousand veterans over the next five years.
