GAO denies KC-X protest

The protest by U.S. Aerospace and its partner, Ukrainian aircraft-maker Antonov has been denied.

It was a strange chapter in the ongoing saga of the Air Force Tanker contract. But now, it is over. The Government Accountability Office has denied a protest by U.S. Aerospace and its partner, Ukrainian aircraft-maker Antonov. The Air Force had disqualified the team for missing the filing deadline, but the pair claimed that their bid was under Air Force control before the deadline expired. Boeing and EADS are still in the race. The outcome could be decided by the end of this year.
