May 14, 2013 — This week on “Off the Shelf”, host Roger Waldron interviews Nick Nayak, chief procurement officer for the Department of Homeland Security, Kevin Boshears, director of the agency’s Office of Small Business and Disadvantaged Utilization, and Peter Ko, associate director of DHS’s Strategic Sourcing Office.
They will discuss how DHS’s successful small business contracting programs and strategic sourcing efforts have worked together to deliver value and support the department’s mission of protecting the Homeland.
Dr. Nayak highlights the balanced, integrated acquisition strategies that have supported small business concerns while at the same time achieving cost savings for the department.
