On this week’s show:
* They call them the Fabulous Beekman Boys: Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Brent Ridge are the darlings of the Cooking Channel, best selling cookbook authors, goat farmers and more. They are coming to DC on September 25th for the Capital Home Show, and we have them first on Foodie and the Beast!
* Those wild ‘n crazy Wilder Brothers – Ari and Micah – are to mixology what Ozzie Osborne is to rock. And now they own Chaplain’s, a great bar/restaurant in Shaw. Micah is in with tastes and talk of Chaplain’s.
* Crafty Bastards, DC’s annual craft festival is back September 25 – 26, featuring more than 170 artisans, artists, food purveyors and more. Sara Dick, the festival’s curator, and fine artist, cookbook author and Crafty Bastards participant, Marci Kriebel, are in to give us the festival’s 4-1-1.
* September is Turkish Heritage Month, and the folks from DC’s favorite, new, Turkish restaurant, Ankara, are in with talk and samples of Turkish cuisine and culture.
* Steven Corrigan is an old family friend who is now one of the distillers at DC’s newest distillery: One 8. He’s win with their latest batches of vodka, rye and gin and we’re tasting it all! YUM!
