Anastasia Obis is a defense reporter for Federal News Network. Her coverage focuses on a wide range of topics, including technology, cybersecurity, policies that will shape the future of warfare, modernization efforts, acquisition and personnel.

Anastasia is a regular contributor to the Federal Drive with Tom Temin. She has also moderated panel discussions at events hosted by the Advanced Technology Academic Research Center and GovCIO Media&Research on topics ranging from cybersecurity to health IT to workforce issues and federal government’s modernization priorities.

Before joining Federal News Network, she covered the intersection of defense and technology for GovCIO Media & Research. During her time there, she contributed to two shows focusing on emerging technologies and cybersecurity issues. She has also contributed to the Washington City Paper.

Anastasia graduated with her Master’s in journalism from Georgetown University, where she focused on national security, political and environmental reporting. Anastasia currently resides in Washington, D.C.
