Homeland Security Department chief information officer Luke McCormack and chief procurement officer Soraya Correa joined Federal News Radio for a free online chat. McCormack and Correa discussed how they are working together to modernize DHS systems to take advantage of innovation through virtualization and cloud computing. These advancements are meant to improve network scalability, agility and storage – as requirements and needs evolve, build cybersecurity into the front of the acquisition and development processes, and improve how DHS plans for and buys these technologies.
McCormack and Correa took part in the chat after their recent appearance on Federal News Radio’s Ask the CIOprogram.
