Pentagon Labyrinth: DoD procurement rules not enforced

The Pentagon spends billions of dollars each year buying new weapons.

The Defense Department has set up rules aimed at making sure it spends every dollar wisely.

But Thomas Christie, who has co-authored the Pentagon Labyrinth: Ten Short Essays to Help You Through It, says DoD is wasting that money because the people in charge of procurement aren’t doing so well with the rules.

Christie worked in defense fields, including weapons and procurement, for half a century.
