Federal News Radio’s Enhanced Lineup Launches on Full-Market Signal

A new FederalNewsRadio weekday programming lineup hits airwaves.

FederalNewsRadio (1500 AM WFED) today launched its expanded programming lineup on its newly beefed up signals – broadcasting at 50,000 watts on 1500 AM and in Frederick on 820 AM.

The new FederalNewsRadio weekday programming lineup that hit the airwaves today is:

  • “Federal Drive with Tom Temin and Jane Norris” 6-10 a.m.
  • Locally-produced specialty federal programming 10 am-1 p.m.
  • “In Depth with Francis Rose” 1-3 p.m.
  • “Daily Debrief with Chris Dorobek and Amy Morris” from 3-7 pm.

The station will also feature the following federal programs: “Amtower Off Center” Mondays at noon, “Federal Tech Talk with John Gilroy” Tuesdays at 11 a.m., “Your Turn with Mike Causey” Wednesdays at 10 a.m., and “Fed Access with Derrick T. Dortch” Thursdays at noon.

Program Director Lisa Wolfe, says “FederalNewsRadio has been serving the federal community for years but now we can super serve it. The combination of the frequency change, the signal improvement and the all-star talent we’ve lined up couldn’t be more exciting. We are now in a position of providing our new and improved product to all the federal decision makers in the Washington metro region.”

FederalNewsRadio is also the home of play-by-play action for the Washington Nationals, Washington Capitals, Navy Athletics, and GW Men’s Basketball.
