By now you’re probably sick of hearing about snow. But if we can take anything away from Wednesday’s storm, it’s the importance of accurate and timely weather forecasts.

That’s where the National Storm Prediction Center comes into play. The center, based in Norman, Oka., is the home to the nation’s severe weather experts.

Dr. Russ Schneider, director of the National Storm Prediction Center – a part of NOAA – joined the DorobekINSIDER to discuss his role of the center. Schneider took over as the director last September.
