HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

On Aug. 30, Jim Williams became the acting administrator of the General Services Administration. Williams is a 28-year federal employee, including 17 years as a senior executive. He spoke with us just a few weeks after taking over as the acting administrator.

There have been so many changes announced on Capitol Hill in recent weeks — particularly on committees that have oversight of federal agencies. We talked about it with Steve Ryan

The GAO did a report on an interagency budget tool agencies use to manage the costs of preventing and stopping wildfires. Earlier this month, we spoke to Robin Nazzaro, GAO’s Director for Natural Resources and Environment Issues told us about the FPA.

It was in late October when FederalNewsRadio got word that Special Counsel Scott Bloch had been fired. Chris Dorobek and Amy Morris were joined in studio by Francis Rose, host of “In Depth,” and we also talked with Jim Mitchell, the former OSC Chief of Staff, who had been fired by Bloch in August.

Back in February, the Comptroller General of the United States, David Walker, announced his resignation. In an exclusive interview with FederalNewsRadio, Walker says his decision to leave the Government Accountability Office was NOT an easy one.
