Smithsonian’s Hirshhorn launches new museum tour app

Like art? There\'s now an app for that!

We’ve seen a number of apps being created by agencies, and now one Smithsonian museum is getting into the game.

The Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden now has an iPhone app that offers special content and an interactive tour of their Yves Klein exhibit.

It’s built through a program from the Toura Company, and is arranged like a tour through the exhibition.

Jennifer Rossi is the webmaster & eCommunications Specialist for the Museum.

She says it’s something they’ve thought about doing for some time, and explain how they got it off the ground.
