Eight ideas for your agency’s social media strategy

Social media tools are giving agencies unprecedented access to citizens and improving the quality of government services.

But there is risk. With more access comes the threat of leaks or break downs in cybersecurity.

The key is to develop a social media strategy.

The Center for Technology and Government at the State University of New York has created a guide to help managers make really effective policies. They’ve written an abstract: Designing social media policy for government: Eight essential elements.
