State and local governments are either pulling back on pensions, or stopping them completely — and private sector employers have pretty much eliminated them. This could be a bad omen for federal benefits, some experts say, because changes to the federal workforce often follow provisions that have been put in place by the states or private companies. The Justice Department will begin evaluating managers based, in part, on their adherence to its diversity management plan. It\'s the latest step in a diversity strategy that began in 2010. The White House announced the launch of Ethics.gov, an online portal housing ethics-related data, including White House visitor logs, election filings and lobbying disclosures.
