While federal events are certainly weightier than marketing conferences, there are takeaways that serve all of them well.

I’m not currently a meeting or conference coordinator, but I’ve put on many events over the years and have attended dozens of conferences – both federal conferences and not. While federal events are certainly weightier than, say, marketing and PR conferences, there are takeaways that serve all of them well and a few things that the federal folks could learn from the mainstream.
