Howard Williams, the Government Accountability Office’s CIO, joined Federal News Radio for a free online chat. Williams discussed his priorities around improving how the agency uses big data tools and analytics and how the new working group convened by Comptroller General Gene Dodaro will play a role in sketching out the future of GAO’s efforts to use data to make better decisions. Williams also discussed several other priorities including implementing a virtual desktop interface (VDI) as part of the agency’s initiative to be more mobile and becoming a more agile development organization.

Williams took part in the chat after his recent appearance on Ask the CIO on Federal News Radio 1500 AM in the Washington, D.C. metro area and online everywhere.

Federal News Radio’s executive editor Jason Miller moderated the chat.

Those participating in the online text-only chat were be able to ask Williams their own questions in real-time.
