The federal government can save as much as $54 billion each year by changing the way it buys goods and services, according to a report from the Center for American Progress.

Raj Sharma is the founder, president and CEO of Censeo Consulting Group. Sharma led the team that pulled together the ideas for the report.

He shared with the DorobekINSIDER the top strategies to cut the procurement fat.
