DoD tries to green acquisition process

DoD\'s Paul Yaroschak explains efforts at the agency to make products more green.

The Defense Department is considering how to make the acquisition of all of its products more sustainable.

A working group has spent the last six months analyzing all the different approaches large companies use to manage and measure sustainability over the lifecycle of a product.

Paul Yaroschak, DoD’s deputy director for chemical and material risk management directorate, told Federal News Radio’s Jason Miller about how DoD is trying to green its acquisition approach.
