Army special agent wins high cybersecurity award

Special Agent Thomas Williamson is recognized by Cybersecurity Coordinator Howard Schmidt.

Army’s Criminal Investigation Command’s Computer Crime Investigation Unit. In his White House blog, Cybersecurity Coordinator Howard Schmidt writes that Williamson has directly contributed to several successful prosecutions that have resulted in over 20 years of combined jail time for perpetrators, and also helped in getting several other high-visibility cases set for prosecution. Pointing to his methodical research methods and untiring support, Schmidt cites Williamson’s contributions as “truly outstanding” over the past year.
