HHS IG supports adding cybersecurity to FDA criteria for medical devices

The Food and Drug Administration can turn down approval for medical devices for a lot of reasons. But cybersecurity is not on the checklist. The Department of Health and Human Services’ inspector general says it should be. Abby Amoroso, deputy regional inspector general, shared more on Federal Drive with Tom Temin.
