Federal Grants Policy Committee

The federal Grants Policy Committee has detailed goals under two broad areas: streamlining the grants process and the stewardship of grants in a implementation plan. The committee, which falls under the Chief Financial Officer’s Council, outlines short, medium and long term goals in areas such as pre-award, post-award grant making, the auditing of grants, and testing and certification of grant making systems. FederalNewsRadio’s Jason Miller caught up with Tom Cooley, chairman of the Grants Policy Committee and National Science Foundation CFO, about the implementation plan.
