Vice President outlines plan to cut improper payments

WFED\'s Max Cacas reports.

One of the biggest examples of waste, fraud and abuse in the government can simply be traced to people who shoud not be getting a government check — a problem known as improper payments.

Today, the number two man in the federal government anounced steps to combat the problem.

Many feel that Vice President Joe Biden has been the point man at the White House when it comes to improper payments and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

During a briefing today, he outlined the scope of the problem — and Federal News Radio’s Max Cacas tells us more.
