Steve VanRoekel has decided to move out of the federal chief information officer’s position. He’ll be taking a more operational role for the U.S. Agency for International Development. That decision caught most people by surprise. Some who know him think VanRoekel was attracted to the challenge of fighting the Ebola virus.
