Steps to keep your Android safe

• Use a security app. The app will scan downloads for viruses.
• Always check app permissions. If an app is asking for things it shouldn’t need, get rid if it.
• Don’t install Android package files.
• Bank with authorized apps only. Online banking is great convenience, but to be safe, only use apps supplied by YOUR bank.
• Only download popular apps. Apps that have been dowloaded a lot aren’t likely to be poisoned.
• Download apps from reputable publishers.
• Keep your eye on your wireless bill. Some rogue apps make expensive calls to foreign numbers.
