If he’s confirmed by the Senate as the Pentagon’s next deputy chief management officer, Peter Levine will play a major role on the path toward audit readiness. He’ll also be the first senior Pentagon official to publicly predict that the department will miss the auditability deadlines Congress has already set in law. As Federal News Radio’s Jared Serbu reports, Levine says Congress needs to find other ways to pressure the department to improve its financial reporting.
