Apparently, the Energy Department is not exploring alternate dimensions, nor do its employees interact with monsters. In fact, Energy Department employees are not evil, it seems.

That’s all according to a new blog post from Paul Lester, a digital content specialist in Energy’s Office of Public Affairs.

Lester was inspired to write the post after recently binge watching the Netflix original television series “Stranger Things“. which tells the story of a small Indiana town in the 1980s. Residents are exposed to some really strange things originating from the sinister Hawkins National Laboratory, a fictional, Lester assures us, Energy Department facility.

While Lester’s spoiler-filled blog post humorously pokes fun at “Stranger Things” and  dispels its fictional depiction of the agency, a skeptical journalist and fan of the TV show wonders, isn’t that just what a  flak working for an evil agency would do?

Hmmmmm …
