Welcome to the very first edition of FederalNewsRadio’s Daily Debrief!

I’m Amy Morris, and I’ll be your cruise director on this federal news journey – featuring two hours of news and information from federal newsmakers, and agency movers and shakers.

The Daily Debrief is the culmination of a long journey that started last summer. Our Program Director, Lisa Wolfe, envisioned a morning news show and an afternoon news show tailored to meet your needs. The shows would be live, engaging, and provide you with any federal information you might need.

You’re already familiar with that morning program, The Federal Drive. Mike Causey and Jane Norris are rock stars in the federal news business.

It took a bit longer to get The Daily Debrief off the ground. As Executive Editor here at FederalNewsRadio, my duties were a bit – let’s say – intense. Launching a brand-new program just wasn’t in the cards, at least not for me.

Until now!

Now we have hammered out how we want the Daily Debrief to look, sound, and behave to best serve your needs. You’ll get information about pay and benefits, procurement, technology, management styles, best practices, and even some fun facts and information. You’ll find out how to be a Fit Fed, and we’ll tell you about fun family events for federal workers to kick off each weekend.

So tune in each weekday afternoon from four until six. Most of you will be stuck in traffic anyway, so try us out and let us know what you think!

Oh, and if you have any comments or suggestions for future shows, feel free to leave a comment here or just email me directly. (You’ll have to click on my face. Yeah. I know. Tickle the nose. It itches.)

Thanks for joining us on our inaugural show!

As for me, my broadcasting day started bright and early this morning so I could talk with the Federal Drive team about this afternoon’s debut. Click to hear the interview.
