The Defense Department is reaching out to military families. The DoD has launched a new program aimed at expanding job opportunities for military spouses. Microsoft, Home Depot, Starbucks and the Navy Federal Credit Union are just a few of the nearly 60 companies that have signed on. The DoD is also setting up a web portal to help military families craft resumes and find online job postings. Military spouses currently have a much higher unemployment rate than their civilian counterparts.
