  • The Postal Service is considering closing 3,700 retail outlets. USPS has put those local offices, branches and stations on a list to be reviewed and, perhaps replaced or consolidated. Postmaster General Patrick Donohoe says USPS is looking at moving postal services into retail stores, town halls and community centers.
  • GSA has completed its transition to the cloud. GSA is the first of 15 agencies to move to cloud-based email. Next Gov reports that GSA officials say the $6.7 million project will cut costs in half over the five-year contract period.
  • The director of the U.S. Computer Emergency Response Team has quit. Randy Vickers resigned last Friday without an official explanation. The US-CERT says the deputy director Lee Rock will serve as the interim director.
