Agencies are doing more to protect themselves from insider threats, so they don’t wind up like the pharmaceutical company Shionogi.

A former employee there logged into the company’s network from a wi-fi hotspot at a McDonalds and deleted the contents of 88 different computer servers.

HealthCareInfoSecurity.com reports, Cornish plead guilty to the charges of computer intrusion and faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.

IT experts say your agency needs to change passwords and reset access rights whenever a staff member leaves — even if they leave on good terms.
