Where in the world do feds work?

Federal employees don’t just live and work in the United States. Nearly 36,800 live in foreign countries, according to December 2010 data from the Office of Personnel Management.

The top five foreign countries with the most civilian feds are:

1. Germany – 14,655
2. Japan – 7,157
3. Korea – 3,456
4. Italy – 2,579
5. United Kingdom – 1,679
