President Obama wants Agriculture, Commerce, Interior, Transportation and Housing and Urban Development to identify up to three high-priority projects that will create jobs. The projects must already have money. The President wants work to start in 18 months.
The FBI brings in a new assistant director. Sean Joyce replaces Timothy Murphy. Joyce is a 24-year FBI veteran; he’s currently the executive assistant director of the FBI’s national security branch.
Intel moves into the private sector. Their new subsidiary Intel Federal is designed to take on this task. NextGov reports the subsidiary’s first goal is to develop large-scale supercomputers for the Energy Department and other agencies
